Double-pitch roller chain

TYC manufactures two types of double-pitch roller chains: transmission-type and roller-conveying-type. The transmission-type features “figure-8” chain links, while the roller-conveying type uses straight-chain links.
The dimensions of double-pitch roller chains are identical to those of ANSI single-pitch series chains, except that the pitch is twice as long. The rollers can be either standard rollers or oversized rollers.
Double-pitch roller chains are ideally suited for low-speed and long-distance applications. They offer the same precision and quality as single-pitch chains, while using less material—making them lighter and more cost-effective. [Click to view more]

Double-pitch roller chain attachment

TYC double-pitch roller chains can be combined in various ways to create a wide range of attachments. Commonly used attachments include curved types, such as A-1, A-2, K-1, and K-2, which feature bent lugs on one or both sides of the chain, equipped with either one or two holes. Straight-type attachments include SA-1, SA-2, SK-1, and SK-2; these have straight lugs on one or both sides of the chain, also with either one or two holes. The D-1 and D-3 extended pins are also frequently encountered types.
Double-pitch chains allow for additional holes to be left in the center of the chain links. The dimensions of these additional holes, designated as “G-1,” can vary according to user requirements. It is common to see straight pins with a larger diameter extending outward—referred to as “D-5” pins—that are inserted into the G-1 holes. [Click to view more]
